Two Stage Screw Extruder

Certain polymers require pelletizing to be carried out under conditions without water and moisture, so that the extrusion system should have sufficient cooling capacity to cater for in this process; some materials are sorted into shear-sensitive or heat-sensitive categories. Two Stage Screw Extrusion System is deigned for such processes. Primary twin screw extruder provides mixing and dispersion without over-shear, lower speed single screw extruder provides enough cooling and pressure accumulation.

Extensive application experience
Our twin screw kneaders are used for a wide range of applications:
filler masterbatches, colour masterbatches, additive masterbatches, biodegradable plastics, cable kneading, engineering plastics reinforcement (GF), 
PVC kneading, polyolefin kneading, reactive direct extrusion, thermoplastic elastomers,
PET pelletizing and other plastics such as PE, XLPE, WPC.
  • Filler Masterbatch
    The filler MB is a concentrate of CaCO3 or Talc or BaSO4 in a polymer matrix. It can be used in applications such as injection moulding, blow moulding, films (single or multi-layer), sheets and tapes.
  • Color Masterbatch
    Single colour masterbatches or SPC (Single Pigment Concentrate), custom masterbatches, bespoke masterbatches. GSmach has the experience to help you produce high quality masterbatches.
  • Additive Masterbatch
    Additive masterbatches have many applications. Any plastic product requires at least two types of additive. It can change the physical or chemical properties. For example, flame retardancy, thermal stability or weather resistance.
  • Engineering Plastic
    Engineering plastics compounding is a major application for twin-screw extruders. It is used extensively in the automotive, electrical, blow moulding, film and pipe extrusion, fibre and other industries.
  • Biodegradable Plastic

    All raw materials, such as polymers, fillers and additives, are mixed or split fed, reacted and degreased in a high-speed twin-screw extruder and made directly into a final product such as sheet/film, bypassing pelletizing.

    GSmach also offers large extruders for polyolefin compounding: polymer powders are pre-mixed with additives and then made into pellets with a capacity of up to 10 tonnes/hour. Our deliveries range from feeders to storage silos.

The Triple screws of the GSmach series of co-rotating parallel three-screw extruders are arranged in a "one" shape and rotate at high speed in the same direction, subjecting the material to intense shearing, squeezing, kneading and grinding action for better homogenisation and dispersion. Compared to conventional twin-screw extruders, the triple-screw extruder has an additional high shear zone, which doubles the plasticising and mixing performance of the twin-screw extruder, resulting in high output and twice the capacity of the twin-screw extruder. The de-volatilisation efficiency is also significantly higher due to the increased specific surface area and increased surface renewal rate.
